28 September RIBA Northamptonshire Society of Architects: Making Vernacular Buildings

Following the success of the last year's series of events, RIBA Northamptonshire Society of Architects continues to explore the theme of locally sourced sustainable building materials and showcasing examples of contemporary vernacular design and building conservation.


The Sustainable Solutions series aim to explore the techniques, applications, and projects within the region and around the world, from Northamptonshire ironstone, thatch, earth wall, and timber construction (including examples of international) projects whose environmental impacts have reduced through practical consideration of materials, presentations focused on making traditional and contemporary buildings using vernacular methods and materials.
