RIBA East Midlands Education Group

The RIBA East Midlands Education Group is member-led with representatives from Schools of Architecture and branches from across the East Midlands region. The group was founded in 2012 with the aim of forging closer links between higher education and practice and meets regularly. The current areas of focus include research and innovation in practice, student engagement, and well-being.

RIBA East Midlands Housing Group

The member-led RIBA East Midlands Housing Group reports to the Regional Council. Chaired by Pete Redman FRIBA and including a small group of RIBA members from across the region, the group’s remit is essentially to promote better design in volume housebuilding, through engagement with stakeholders including developers and local planning authorities. Recent events held by RIBA East Midlands Housing Group include the Lenton Gardens Site Visit.

The Housing Group is always looking for new members, so if you’re interested, please contact riba.eastmidlands@riba.org

RIBA/RTPI East Midlands Planning Group

This group was set up in 2020 as a joint group with the regional RTPI. Initiated by Jane Tillotson RIBA, the purpose is to foster a more collaborative relationship between the two professions in the region. It is hoped that resulting projects as determined by the Group, can build bridges between the two professions where differences are present, but also work together where there are issues on which we have a common viewpoint.
